London - Museum Tour Part 1

Our first excursion of British Studies At Oxford for 2012 was to London - "A Shrine to the Enlightenment: The British Museum" followed by "Two Views of the Dark Side: The Foundling Museum and 'London, Sugar & Slavery' at The Museum of Docklands."

I didn't make it to the Docklands Museum but spent most of my day at the British Museum - there are just SO many different things to look at there!  Here's the hit list:

Rosetta Stone

Nereid Temple with Mariah, Molly & Cat

North Frieze of the Parthenon (Elgin Marbles)

Elgin Marbles

Egyptian Mummy

Roman Helmet from the discovery of the Viking Burial Site at Sutton Hoo

2012 London Olympics Gold Medals
