Danger in North Quad
As far as After Dinner Entertainment goes, ours was perhaps a little too exciting last night. We have been having lots of rain here in Oxford since our arrival and yesterday was no different so when it came time for the Pre-Dinner Garden Party an alternate location was required. Although regretfully not the great lawn, the arcades of Canterbury Quadrangle are still a beautiful place to start our evening. We had dinner in the Hall and were joined by the President of St. John's College and his wife, Sir Michael and Lady Scholar. The rain was holding off when we left the Hall at 9.15 and a few people were lingering outside. Just as two of students assistants were about to make their way to their room, this happened:
