What a warm and sunny day it was in Ketchikan! We had great weather to explore the Salmon Capital of the World. And we definitely saw the salmon. The silver salmon have begun spawning and there are thousands swimming up every stream we saw. It was amazing to watch them jump the rocks in the rapids trying to get upstream.
We did see a brave few that had made it upstream but they had many battle scars. We also saw a couple of sea otters but you will just have to take our word for it.
The town of Ketchikan is a great town to visit. It is beautiful and quaint and easy to get around. We had a wonderful last day in the Great State of Alaska. Tomorrow we sail to Vancouver for our disembarkation and travel to Seattle.
