What a way to wake up. The weather was perfect all morning for viewing the different glaciers (all named for ivy league colleges on the east coast). It all turned after lunch when we entered the Gulf of Alaska and met the Pacific Ocean. By dinner last night we were in one of the worst weather patterns the boat has seen all summer and I left dinner to lie down. The weather was so bad we had to slow the boat down and close the decks because of high winds. You pretty much walk in a zig zag pattern around the boat because of the high waves tossing the boat around. It is definately an early night for our first day at sea!
