Cabinet War Rooms & Big Ben

Today we went into London to tour the Cabinet War Rooms in London. These are the underground rooms from which Winston Churchill ran the Second World War. We started the day at the restaurant on the rooftop of the National Portrait Gallery. I had no idea this view was so accessible:

We had a wonderful lunch before walking through Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall and to the Cabinet War Rooms. After our tour, we strolled around Parliament Square where we posed for a few pictures:

On the way back to Oxford we ate at a wonderful pub restaurant called the Talk House. The food was delicious and the company was terrific.
