On 10 May 2016 Dad officially marked 40 Years of Practicing Law ... and he's done it all along at 150 Court Avenue, Sevierville. In 1976 he was 35 years old, recently married with a 5 month old baby and a brand new license to practice law. When his first client arrived he put down the hammer and paint brush he was using to set up the office to meet with them. He and Dave Maxwell opened their office above the old Bank of Sevierville building just below the room that had been used as the Draft Office.

40 Years later he is still working at 150 Court Avenue only now he owns that building plus several others on the block. And in addition to his work practicing law, he's had many other careers including his service as Mayor of Sevierville for 8 years, Alderman for another 8, built a successful cabin rental program and now heads up the local cancer foundation. In support of all he's achieved these last 40 years we threw a party (or two)!
It was a great day celebrating with all those who have worked for, with and just in support of him. And we couldn't be more proud him our Dad.
