Ronda

High in the mountains of Andalusia where the Romans built a bridge. Home of the most important bullring in Andalusia. Favorite of Oson Welles and Ernest Hemingway. Where the first shots of the Spanish Civil War shot out. This is Ronda. We started here for the Festival Goyesqua de Pedro Romero- a very important festival in Southern Spain.  It was a wonderful place to start our trip.  We walked down ( and climbed back up) to the lookout for the Roman Bridge.  We visited the bull ring although tickets to the fight were sold out and we couldn't go inside. We did get to see everyone dressed in their finest including the parade before the fight with the bull fighters!
