Just a normal day in Morocco

We didn't really have any idea what to expect when we boarded the ferry in Tarifa Spain for Tangiers, Morocco. We spend the night just outside this beach resort to get an 9.00 ferry then we were off to the train station and on to the great city of Fes. It was a very long train ride.  Not everyone smelled nice.  There were a lot of people in our carriage at times, some barely looked at us and others were friendly. We paid way too much for the taxis to and from the train station but then we arrived:

Our home for the next two nights
We stayed in the beautiful Riad Myra Hotel.  These are homes that are now hotels. It it wonderful.  They arranged dinner for us, served a huge breakfast of yoghurt, fresh squeezed orange juice, tea or coffee, toast and two traditional breads with jam, olive oil or honey and a rice cereal plus some delicious grapes. We thought it was too much but turns out we needed it for the 10, yes 10, hour tour we took of the Medina and then just outside the old city.  Here is how we looked by the end of the day visiting the royal palace (the doors at least).
The Royal Palace after a very long day of site -seeing

It was a great day with Rashed, our guide even if we did get lectured from time to time on the greatness of Obama.
