Since then, the Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council have worked with Dolly to create the "Coat of Many Colors" Patch for girls in the council to earn, teaching them about diversity and compassion for others.
In a ceremony at Dollywood on Saturday, I helped hand out these patches and present an award of thanks from Tanasi Council to Dolly and the staff at Dollywood. About 400 girls were there to receive their patch and to participate in a parade through Dollywood! It was such an honor for me to be asked to hand out the patches to the girls as they came on stage. After they received thier patch, they took pictures with Dolly. There was a lot of excitement and a lot of hugs all around. I am truly thankful to have been asked to take part in this program.
