The Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council honored Mom today with the dedication of a boardroom in the new Girl Scout Center today. The new offices are located just off Kingston Pike in Knoxville. Before today's Board meeting, Dad, Ashley and I (Alex was in Court) participated in a lovely ceremony to dedicate the room in honor of the leadership and council Mom provided to the Board of Tanasi Council throughout her years on the Board and particularly, her service as President of Tanasi Council.
We were especially honored to be asked to participate in the ribbon cutting and hanging the plaque that will designate the space in her honor. On behalf of Dad, Ashley, and Alex, I just want to express our deep gratitude to the Board of Tanasi Council, Lucille Griffo, and all the Staff of the Tanasi Council Girl Scout Council for their love and support.
